- Bust or chest measurements are taken from side seam to side seam directly under the arm hole
- The waist measurement is generally taken across the smallest part of the waist area
- Shoulders are measured from back shoulder seam to back shoulder seam
- Length is measured from the rear collar seam to hem
- Sleeves are measured from the shoulder seam to end of sleeve
- All items are measured while laying flat. However, in some cases, approximations are made especially if the clothing is of a particularly difficult cut.
